UCLU Music Society

Chamber Choir

Manager: Jason Chan

The Chamber Choir draws on the finest singers from the Symphony Chorus to perform to a high standard, producing some very fine performances. Recent concerts have included programmes of music by Peter Maxwell Davies and Arvo Part in the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, a range of pieces by composers such as Mendelssohn, Mozart and Purcell, and also a series of fundraising performances of Handel’s Messiah.

Entry to the Chamber Choir follows an audition where you are required to sing a piece of your choice, prepared and un-prepared sight reading. The prepared sight reading will be given to you a few days before the audition for you to learn the relevant part. An accompanist will also be provided. To sign up for an audition please come along to our stall at the Welcome Fair. If you are only going to attend UCL for the second term and wish to join us please contact the ensemble manager at the email address provided above.

Rehearsals: Varies, usually three before each concert. No fixed day.
